
Maggie College Entries Western Publications Association Scholarship & Grant Program WPA is proud to continue the Scholarship and Grant Program, created encourage college students interested in the print and electronic magazine publishing industry. Our WPA scholarship & grant program will not only award the student, but also the team efforts of the magazine. By investing in the future of America's top collegiate journalists and magazine media programs, WPA hopes to improve the quality of its future. The Western Publications Association (WPA), producer of the annual Maggie Awards®, will honor the winners of each of the Maggie college categories with a scholarship and/or grant. Maggie winners will be announced the night of the annual Maggie Awards® Banquet, May 2, 2008, at the Westin Hotel at Los Angeles Airport. Finalists in each category are notified the week after judging is complete. All finalists are encouraged to attend the banquet, to honor “The Best in the West” in magazine editorial, design and promotion. Winners in the 2008 Maggie College competition will earn either a $2000 Scholarship and/or Grant (in addition to a Maggie). In addition, WPA will pay for one representative from the magazine to attend the banquet, as guests of the WPA, and reimburse the following expenses:
