Call for Judges

Each year, WPA selects approximately 100 editorial and design judges from across the West to help determine MAGGIE Finalists and Winners.

Judges must have at least three years direct editorial or design experience in publishing and  are chosen on the basis of their experience in the field and their ability to fairly evaluate the entries.

2012 MAGGIE judging will take place on and off site. Categories that judge the entire publication will be judged onsite. All other categories will be judged offsite.

Off site judging will take place during the month of February. Judges will be provided with specific categories to judge and website links, and will have approximately 10 days to complete the process.

Tuesday and Wednesday, March 6-7, 2012
RR Donnelley Plant, Torrance, CA (approximately 10-15 minutes from LAX)

Publications are permitted to enter the MAGGIES and also provide  judges. (Judges are not permitted to judge any categories entered, or any categories entered by their competition or sister publications.)
